What is Mental Sunshine? Does it benefit your growth or well-being?

Being at calm, composed, and in harmony is the essence of mental sunshine. It is the state of mind. The source of this concept comes from Christian D. Larson's book "Thinking for Results".  It was first released in 1911. It's also a short and simple read at just 128 pages.

This book asserts that "mental sunshine is necessary for mental growth to occur." So, regardless of what happens, we have to make a commitment to happiness. Anything less is not an option for us. When sunlight is directed and clouds are avoided, even the largest iceberg may melt; the same is true in everyday life. 

Fear is a trait that defines us as children of a skeptical generation. In addition to being terrified of the future, poverty, unemployment, dishonor and humiliation, illness, and death, I think that occasionally we are also afraid of existence itself!

We are afraid when we work, when we walk, when we communicate, when we live. We are buried under the weight of a miserable existence as we go through life, fear after fear!

Every one of us has experienced fear at some point in our life. Fear comes to us almost automatically. Fear affects all of us, no one is immune from it. The strongest countries are afraid of their neighbors and competitors. Politicians fear. We must never undervalue the strength of our minds or our willpower. Thought patterns determine our ability to be fearless as well as our personal well-being, contentment, and harmony. Consistently thinking in the correct direction leads to happiness. Anywhere you go, mental sunshine will bring the flowers of serenity, joy, and peace to bloom! So develop the courage to face fear head-on and make your own sunlight inside!
